Jason Bacon

Jason Bacon is the founder of Sunstone Strategic, a Northern Alberta-based consulting firm focused on helping entrepreneurs, small businesses, and communities move forward with clarity and confidence. Over the past decade, he has worked with thousands of entrepreneurs across Canada through business advising, education, strategy development, and community-based programming. His career has included leadership roles with organizations such as ATB Financial and Community Futures, where he helped develop entrepreneur training initiatives, accelerators, and rural business support programs. Today, his work focuses on supporting small and rural entrepreneurs through practical guidance, storytelling, and accessible education that helps people turn ideas into action.

Jason is also the author of Entrepreneur-ish: Inspirations and Lessons in Entrepreneurship from Vikings, Pirates and Samurai, a book that blends history, humour, and entrepreneurial insight to encourage people to pursue business ownership in their own way. In addition to his consulting and speaking work, he serves on the board of the Peace River Art Club, supporting arts and culture initiatives in the region and advocating for stronger creative communities in rural Alberta.
