Keith Rempel

Since becoming the first totally blind graduate of the MacEwan University music program in 2007 Keith Rempel has become one of Alberta’s most in demand bassists. He has toured and recorded with many of the finest song writers in the province including Celeigh Cardinal, Maria Dunn, Dana Wylie, T. Buckley, and Matt Patershuk. His career highlights include being a part of Garth Prince’s Juneau award winning album in 2022, a tour to Chile in 2012, and appearances at folk and jazz festivals across Canada.

Keith’s keen ear and wealth of experience have enabled him to thrive in the recording studio as a session musician, with additional producing and engineering credits. He has run live sound from stage for shows ranging from intimate house concerts to larger theaters. He is looking forward to sharing insights and learning along side the presenters and participants at the 2026 Song Rise conference.
