Introductions & Overview - 10:00am
10:30am – 11:15am – “Breaking it Down” panel discussion with Mariel Buckley & Duane Steele – explore aspects of great songs.
11:30am – 12:30pm – “Writing 101” keynote with Robert Walsh – back by popular demand, Robert will take us through the mechanics of writing a song.
12:30pm – 1:15pm – lunch will be catered in & is included
1:15pm – 2:00pm - “The Shameless Art of Self Promoting” - how to market yourself the easier way with Jason Bacon.

DATE with a DEMO - Hop next door to Peace River Brewing for dinner, hops & talks then get ready to show your stuff!
Date with a Demo – Rylan will be on hand to assist setting you and your instrument up. Bring your rough draft of a new song with six copies of lyrics to either play live or on a recording for friendly critique by the panel of experts Duane, Mariel, Robert, Zach, Steven and Scott!
Saturday Writing, Recording & Performing
Doors at 8:30am - Athabasca Hall, 9705-98 Avenue, Peace River, Alberta
Coffee & Muffins provided.
Overview & Groups - 9:00am
9:30am – 5pm – Disburse into rooms, write, lunch, write. Recording of your songs will be done in your writing rooms, you will not have to find the “studio”. Some groups will be in the Anglican Church next door.
Sound check between 4-5:30pm - Groups MUST be finished their song, recorded and sound checked by 5:30pm.
Supper is on your own.
Return back to the Athabasca Hall by 6:30pm
Concert at 7:00pm. Sit in reserved group seating until after your performance.
